Eucomed is the Voice of the Medical Technology Industry in Europe and beyond. We specifically serve a European market of €61,8 billion - the second largest in the world after the USA. We are amongst the largest medical technology trade associations and represent directly and indirectly some 4500 business entities.
The Medical Technology Industry in Europe offers an extremely wide variety of products - from the simple syringe or bandage, the wheelchair or hearing aid, to the high-tech cardiac implant or dialysis machine. Eucomed members range from national trade and pan-European product associations to multinational manufacturers of all types of medical technology to smaller companies and academic start-ups in areas such as tissue engineering, new materials and diagnostics. Membership is open to National Associations in Europe, to companies with at least one manufacturing facility in Europe, as well as to start-up ventures.
As a highly respected and recognized association, we can put our weight behind horizontal issues affecting the whole Industry as well as on vertical issues concerning a specific sector.
A large and increasing number of decisions that impact the Medical Technology Industry within Europe and beyond its borders are made at EU level or influenced by the EU. We are uniquely placed to influence EU policy-making processes and thinking to the benefit of our Members, thanks to Eucomed’s extensive knowledge of and partnership with key European institutions and decision-makers.
